Promo: Will Allison’s plan to destroy Vicki backfire? There’s more to the story.

Segment 1

Todd to Cassie: What, what do you mean what’s going on?  Cassie: Why did you hand this woman money?  Blair tries to get through to Social Services.  The baby is crying and Starr begs Blair to help her.  Mom, what am I supposed to do?  Starr offers him money.  Blair tells her that won’t work and tries to get someone on the line.  She tells Starr that the baby needs someone to pick him up.  Starr tries to but Blair stops her.  No, Starr it has to be an adult.  Well, you come pick him up, Mommy.

Seth tells Jessica he wants to tell her the truth about his relationship with Natalie.  Allison tries to remind Natalie how important she was in getting her the money.  Allison wants to go celebrate but Natalie says no.  I don’t want to go celebrate with you.

Alex is moving into Asa’s suite.  She wants Nigel to help her move her clothes.  Asa gets her to leave for a minute and talks to Nigel about how he is going to get out of this mess.  Alex catches on to their scheming.  Asa will marry me or I’m calling Bo.  On the plane, Gabs remembers Al saying he would never trust she or Max ever again.  She’s in tears. Max reassures her and says they will be in Saint Blaze’s before she knows it.  They talk about how much she misses Al.  When I went to prison, I didn’t have a choice but now… Max tells her she didn’t have a choice this time either.  Then tells her how lucky they have been so far.  They didn’t even look at our passports.  Gabs then wonders why it WAS so easy. Suppose someone wants us to try to escape.  Bo appears over her shoulder.  Going somewhere?

Segment 2

Bo riffs on Max and Gabs.  I thought we had this understanding and here you two are escaping off to a tropical island.  Max and Gabs claim they were just going on vacation.  Gabs tells Bo he has to believe her: We’re innocent.  Bo: Maybe I do.

Asa agrees to marry Alex right away. Alex: Oooooh, a Christmas wedding.  Nigel congratulates her on becoming the 12^th Mrs. Buchanan.  Alex decides to work on the motif for the wedding.  Asa tries to get her to leave but she tells them it is their room now.  Alex asks for proof of his intentions.  I want you to propose.  I need a declaration of your love.  I want to know how you feel.  Asa says he feels like he has been lassoed by a bunch of rattlesnakes.  Will you please marry Jeb Stuart?  No, I want to marry Asa Buchanan.

Todd stutters over why he was giving the woman money.  Cassie says maybe Blair can clarify things for her.  Todd stops her and admits Blair knows nothing about what is going on.  Todd tells Cassie that he felt sorry for the mother.  Cassie wants to know where the baby is.  You said you gave it back.  Blair said she didn’t want the baby. Todd says it is a woman’s pejorative to change her mind.  Starr is still asking Blair for help but Blair is on hold on the phone.  Blair talks Starr through rocking the baby gently.  There you go, Starr. You’re doing really well.

Segment 3

Max asks Bo if he still thinks they murdered Asa.  That’s still a possibility but you two are not my prime suspects anymore.  Gabs: Why didn’t you stop us at the airport then?  Bo: Then I’d have missed the opportunity for this little chat.  Why did you choose to go to Saint Blaze’s?  Max: Because there’s no extradition. Bo: There are other places with no extradition besides Saint Blaze’s.  Max: You are on to another suspect!  Then we are out of this mess. Bo: Not completely but your vacation will be cut short.  As soon as you arrive in Saint Blaze’s then you will turn right around and go back to Llanview.

Alex insists on marrying Asa Buchanan.  I don’t want a fake. Asa: Asa is dead and if he weren’t he’d already have a wife.  Besides, Jeb Stuart is richer than I am.

Greevey goes to visit Roxie. He asks about the money she is supposed to be coming into.  He demands that she not hold out on him.  If you got money you better spread it around or you’re going to get one hell of a Christmas present. He gives her 24 hours to come across. Roxie is desperate.  Where am I going to come up with money so fast?

Jessica confronts Seth for being in bed with Natalie.  He tells her he was drunk and he woke up here.  She was the last person I wanted to see.  All I could do was think about you and how you said we couldn’t be friends. I never want to see Natalie again.  Natalie tells Allison that she is not getting any of the money.

Starr: Mommy, he’s crying again.  Blair: Just keep rocking him, Sweetheart.  Todd and Cassie enter.  Todd: Why are you on phone?  I’m on the phone to Social Services.  Cassie: Todd said you wanted to keep the baby.  Blair: Just because that little girl can’t take care of the baby doesn’t mean I want him.  Todd takes the phone from Blair and says he’ll talk to Social Services while she goes to rock the baby.  Blair can’t bring herself to hold the baby.  She asks Cassie to do it.  Todd goes out into the hall and yells, Is this Social Services?  I have a bone to pick with you.  Then he lowers his voice and says, Not really.  There’s no baby here, just a crazy mother that escaped from a mental institution.  Who am I?  I’m Dr. Rae Cummings.

Segment 4

Cassie rocks the baby.  There you go. You just wanted some loving.  Blair: He likes you.  He’d like you too if you’d give him a chance.  Blair: I can’t.  Cassie: I know how you feel you feel that you are betraying your baby.  Maybe you are supposed to have this baby. When I found River as soon as I picked him up I was supposed to have him. Blair: But you found River.  I didn’t find this baby.  Cassie: But maybe you are supposed to have this baby.  You are happy and married and with Todd and Starr, maybe you are supposed to have a baby.  Blair: Then why did my baby die?  I want my baby…Todd and my baby.  Our baby.  Todd’s and mine. Todd is listening.  He is really frustrated: It is your baby. You…  It is right in front of your eyes! If you would only see it!. But, I can’t tell you.

Alex agrees to marry Jeb Stuart.  Gabs and Max figure that Bo was lying to them and are only waiting to get them back on American soil to arrest them.

Todd comes into the room as Cassie is rocking the baby: The baby doesn’t sound very happy.  He doesn’t like you. Cassie is confused.  This always works with River.  Todd: It’s not working with him.  Blair: Maybe he needs to be fed or changed.  Todd: No, maybe he needs someone to hold him.  Cassie: Maybe he needs his mother.

Segment 5

Blair is concerned that the baby doesn’t know his mother is too poor even to take care of him.  She asks Todd when Social Services is coming.  He says they are backed up. Cassie tells them not to worry that she will help take care of him.  Todd is frustrated with what he sees as Cassie’s interference. He asks her when she is going back to Switzerland.  Starr comes back. Todd tries to get Blair to hold the baby.  Someone needs to hold him! Blair: Then you hold him, Todd.  He does then walks over to Blair and asks her to try.  Come on, Blair.  Just hold him.  The baby looks over at her and smiles at her. 

Natalie tells Allison that she is getting nothing.  Allison threatens to sue.  Natalie says she is no longer Natalie Balsom—she’s Natalie Buchanan now.  Roxie calls Jessica and tells her that she is sorry for the way she treated her and that she wants to make up.  Jessica hangs up on her.

Blair says that she can’t hold the baby.  Todd: You did before. Blair: That was different.  Todd: How?  She can’t explain.  I just can’t. Starr tells her to try. Todd moves closer to her with the baby and gets her to take him.  She holds him and looks at him in awe and at Todd who is holding his breath. The baby is smiling.

Segment 6

Bo is on the phone in an office at Saint Blazes.  He tells whomever he’s talking to that he wants two uniforms to meet Max and Gabs flight.  He doesn’t want them arrested. He just wants a tail put on them.  He shows Alex’s picture around and asks if anyone has seen her.  No.  He asks about visas.  If she came to this island, she had to have visa.  Gabs and Max sneak in and hide behind a potted plant.  Bo and the clerk go off to look at the entry files. Gabs and Max slip into a room off to the side and close the door. Alex, Asa and Nigel appear at the same office for the marriage. Alex is dressed for the wedding in a halter top and red sarong and refuses to go until someone compliments her.  Nigel does: You look like A Child’s Christmas in Acapulco.  Alex is pleased.  You know how hard it was to pull together an appropriate outfit in this place.   Asa yells for service.

Natalie sees Jessica and Seth hugging.  She remembers how treated her the last time she told Seth she still loved him.  It’s not going to happen again, Natalie.  It’s over.  She closes the door to the living room.  Allison calls Roxie.  What do you want?

Todd: I told you that would work.  Blair: It wasn’t as hard as I thought.  Cassie: See, I told you he would like you.  Starr is relieved that the baby has stopped crying.  The baby is fussy again.  Todd: See he doesn’t want to go. You want that baby to go to a new home. You said it would be a good home, well Social Services is backed up and it will take them a while to find one. Blair: I know what that is like having to go to a new home all the time.  To the baby: I don’t want that for you.  Cassie offers to keep the baby until Social Services can find him a home.  Todd tries to discourage her but Blair is relieved.  Cassie tries to leave with the baby.  Todd yells: STOP and take your hands off our baby.
